Our Values and Principles

As well as the values and principles outlined under the Public Administration Act 2004 to guide conduct, the Business Licensing Authority also strives to operate according to the Council of Australian Government's Principles of Best Practice Regulation and the Better Business Regulation Principles in the Victorian Guide to Regulation.

The values and principles under the Public Administration Act 2004 are: Responsiveness; Integrity; Impartiality; Accountability; Respect; Leadership; and Human Rights.

The BLA has also adopted the following Better Business Regulation principles to assess and report on its performance:
