Who We Are
The Business Licensing Act 1998 prescribes the membership of the Business Licensing Authority (BLA). Members must be appointed by the Governor in Council and legal practitioners of at least 5 years.
Membership of the BLA is made up of:
- A Chairperson (full-time)
- A Deputy Chairperson (full-time)
- Members
- The Director of Liquor Licensing
The BLA Registrar (a legal practitioner), and staff within the Licensing Services Group of Consumer Affairs Victoria also provide important support to the BLA.
