After You Lodge your Application
Need to provide additional information
When considering your application, the BLA may require you to provide further information. This must be provided in a reasonable time, otherwise your application may be refused.
Change of information
You need to notify the BLA of any changes that may occur to the information you have provided after the application is submitted, or risk incurring a significant fine.
The BLA gives your information to:
- Victoria Police
- Consumer Affairs Victoria
- other Law Enforcement and Regulatory Bodies where appropriate, who make any inquiries into the application that they consider appropriate and report the results of their inquiries to the BLA.
Conditions may be imposed on your licence
The BLA may impose conditions:
- which must be complied with before it grants a licence
- on granting a licence
- at any time on the application of any person, or on its own initiative, and the BLA may also vary or revoke any of the conditions or restrictions imposed on a licence.
Refusal
If your licence application is refused you cannot lodge another application for two years unless the BLA otherwise permits that particular case.
If your application is refused or you disagree with the conditions or restrictions imposed on your licence, you can apply for a review of the BLA’s decision to the Victorian Civil and Administration Tribunal (VCAT).
