Conveyancer's also have obligations concerning branch offices, employees and their supervision.
Conflict of Interest and Disclosures
Conveyancer's should also be aware of their obligations under section 49 of the Conveyancers Act 2006 and Schedule 1, Rules 9 and 13 of the Conveyancers(Professional Conduct and Trust Account and General)Regulations 2008, which address circumstances that may potentially harm consumers, due to conflict of interest when referring clients or perspective clients to a service provider that is not independent of the conveyancer.
"Service provider" in this context means a person who provides a service in relation to a conveyancing transaction such as a building inspector, mortgage originator, credit provider, finance/mortgage broker or law practice.
