Maintaining Your Registration

Annual Statement

You must lodge an annual statement during the six weeks leading up to the anniversary of the date you became registered as a credit provider.

Each year the Business Licensing Authority (the BLA) will send you the statement in time for you to complete and return it as required. If you do not receive your statement six weeks prior to your anniversary, you should contact the BLA.

It is your responsibility to lodge an annual statement when required to do so. Your registration will be cancelled if you do not lodge an annual statement when required.

Notification of changes

You must notify the BLA in writing immediately if the following changes take place.

Individual Update Items:

• Change in principal place of business, any other place where you carry on business or registered office
• Change in business name(s) under which the registrant carries on business
• Any changes to registrant’s addresses or contact details including email addresses
• If the registrant had ceased or intends to cease trading as a Credit Provider.

Company Update Items:

• Change in principal place of business, any other place where the company carries on business or registered office
• Change in business name(s) under which the company carries on business
• Change in directors or their addresses and contact details
• Any changes to company addresses or contact details including email addresses
• If the company had ceased or intends to cease trading as a Credit Provider.

Surrender and Cancellation

Your registration is ongoing until it is surrendered, suspended or cancelled. If you/the company cease carrying on business as a credit provider and you wish to surrender your registration you must advise the BLA in writing.
