Applying for a Licence

If you buy, sell, lease or manage real estate or a business on behalf of a vendor, landlord, purchaser or tenant you must hold an estate agent's licence or be employed by a licensed estate agent as an agent's representative.

Before you apply for your Estate Agent’s licence, you should:

• Assess your eligibility. For detailed information, refer to Eligibility to work in the industry.
• Check whether you are disqualified. For detailed information, refer to Disqualification and Permission.
• Seek independent legal advice if uncertain whether or not you need a licence.
