Maintaining Your Status

Annual Statements & Fees

You must lodge an annual statement and pay the annual fee at any time during the six weeks before the anniversary date of the Notice of Intention being effectively lodged with the Business Licensing Authority (the BLA).

Each year the BLA will send you the statement in time for you to complete and return it as required. If you do not receive your statement six weeks prior to your anniversary, you should contact the BLA.

It is your responsibility to lodge an annual statement and pay the annual fee when required to do so.

Fee

Annual Notification Fee: $52.60 - no GST payable

Update Details

If any of the below Information Update Items  provided by you to the BLA change, you must notify the BLA in writing.

Individual - Update Items 

  • If you have been charged, had a charge proved against you without a conviction (e.g. placed on a bond), been found guilty or convicted in relation to an offence involving fraud, dishonesty, violence or drug trafficking with a penalty of 3 months imprisonment or more (whether or not any term of imprisonment was imposed).
  • Change in principal place of business, registered office or any other place where you carry on business.
  • Change in business name(s) under which you carry on business.
  • Any changes to your addresses or contact details including email addresses
  • If you have ceased or intend to cease trading as an Introduction Agent.

Company - Update Items

  • If any director(s), any person listed in an Annual Statement or the company itself has been charged, had a charge proved without a conviction (e.g. placed on a bond), been found guilty or convicted in relation to an offence involving fraud, dishonesty, violence or drug trafficking with a penalty of 3 months imprisonment or more (whether or not any term of imprisonment was imposed).
  • Change in principal place of business, registered office or any other place where the company carries on business
  • Change in business name(s) under which the company carries on business
  • Change in directors or their addresses and contact details
  • Any changes to company addresses or contact details including email addresses
  • If the company had ceased or intends to cease trading as an Introduction Agent.

Ceasing Operation

When you cease to operate as an introduction agent, you must give the BLA:

  • Within seven days –  written notice of termination
  • Within one month – a partial annual statement covering the period from the last date covered by the previous statement until close of trade.
