Owners Corporation Managers Public Register

Search the Register for free to find registered Owners Corporation Managers and key details. Check that the Owner's Corporation Manager you are dealing with is on the register.
The purpose of the Owners Corporations Managers Register is:
- to provide lot owners and the public with access to information about registered managers including, information as to whether the manager is covered by professional indemnity insurance
- to provide the Director of CAV and the BLA, with contact information should the manager need to be informed of changes to legislation affecting them
- to provide the Director and the BLA with information in relation to Owners Corporations managed by a registered Manager, to enable them to contact the owners corporations in relation to the activities of the manager.

Temporary online register
The requirement to maintain the register is outlined in section 194 of Owners Corporation Act 2006, which is available if required by contacting the BLA Registrar. The current online search facility is restricted to providing the following information:
- manager's name
- manager's registration number
- date of the registration
- any business names under which the manager carries on business
- manager's address for service
- any notification to the BLA of a registered Manager not holding current professional indemnity insurance.
In addition to the information available online, the full Owners Corporation Managers register also includes the following information:
- telephone number and email address (if any)
- the Internet site address maintained by the person for the purposes of the management business (if any)
- current details of the professional indemnity insurance held by the person
- any orders of VCAT under this Act relating to the person as a manager, including orders for appointment or removal of the person as manager
- any undertakings given to the Director under this Act or the Fair Trading Act 1999
- the date of grant, surrender or cancellation of registration
- any other prescribed information.
If the person is a corporation:
- the address of its registered office or its address for service if this is different from its registered office
- the telephone number and email address (if any)
- the name of each director
- the Australian Business Number (if any) issued under the New Tax System (Australian Business Number) Act 1999 of the Commonwealth, issued to the person.

Whilst the BLA makes every effort to ensure Register information available online is accurate, the accuracy of this information is dependent on the manager providing up to date information to the BLA about their registration details; this includes whether they continue to hold professional Indemnity Insurance.
Before appointing a manager, the owners corporation should sight evidence that the manager holds professional indemnity insurance that is sufficient to meet claims up to $1.5 million in any one year.
