Applying for Approval

Eligibility

To become an approved manager of a prostitution service provider's business, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be of good repute with regard to character, honesty and integrity
• Not have been found guilty or convicted of an indictable offence in the preceding 5 years which, in the BLA's opinion, renders you ineligible
• Not had a prostitution service provider's licence cancelled within the preceding five years
• Not have individual associates or body corporate associates , that have been convicted or found guilty of an indictable offence in the last five years which, in the BLA's opinion, would render you ineligible to hold a licence
• Not be insolvent under administration/bankrupt
• Not be a represented person within the meaning of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986.

Application

You must complete a Brothel Manager Approval application form and pay the prescribed fee.You must pay the relevant application fee before your application can be processed
