Maintaining Your Approval

Renewal

Your brothel manager approval is valid for three years. Five months prior to your approval expiring you will be sent a renewal notice to your postal address. To ensure your approval stays current you need to re-apply.

Updating Your Details

Please notify the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) of any changes to the information you have provided to it as soon as you become aware of the change.

It is vital your address and brothel employment details are kept up to date to ensure you receive all necessary information and notices to keep your approval up to date.

You also need to advise the BLA immediately any event occurs that has the effect of automatically cancelling your Brothel Manager Approval. 

Automatic Cancellation

Your approval is automatically cancelled if:

• You are convicted or found guilty of an offence against the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981
• Convicted of found guilty of an indictable offence punishable by imprisonment for 12 months or more or of an offence which, if committed in Victoria, would have been an indictable offence punishable by imprisonment for 12 months or more
• A sentence of imprisonment, whether in Victoria or outside Victoria is imposed on you
• You become an insolvent under administration/bankrupt
• You become a represented person within the meaning of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986
