Applying for a Licence

Unless you are exempt under the Victorian Travel Agents Act 1986 to trade as a travel agent in Victoria, you must hold a travel agent's licence. If you are in partnership with an individual or corporation acting as a travel agent they must also hold a licence.

Before you apply for a licence, you should:

• Find out whether you are exempt from the need to be licensed
• Check your eligibility to be licensed
• Seek your own independent legal advice if uncertain whether or not you need to be licensed
